Carbonlite Dryers
Carbonlite
Converting Equipment have been manufacturing dryers for different
applications for many years and have built up a wealth of experience
in this area. Whether the dryer is provided as a part of an overall
scheme purchased from us, as a piece of equipment you are incorporating
into your own plant or as a stand alone piece of equipment the Carbonlite
Dryer range is manufactured to the same high quality standards as
all of our other products.
These pictures cover just a few of the applications we have designed
for. Contact us with details of your application and we will provide
you with a specification to suit.
The number of drying zones is varied to suit the application. In
some applications the zones also need to be kept apart to allow
a dwell time between drying stages. Our designs are flexible enough
to allow this.
Designs can be provided for drying solvent based coatings as well
as aqueous based coatings.
Depending upon the application, drying can be provided to one side
of the material or to both sides.
The dryer shown here is a conveyor-based unit which provides for
drying to the underside as well as the top of the product to ensure
a dry product with no distortion.
This dryer occupied a footprint approximately 9.5metres x 4.5 metres.
It was designed to take products on trays, each carrying three products,
across a conveyor width of 2.3 metres with a drying time approximately
5 minutes long. However, the design also lends itself to drying
continuously produced strip product which can be supported on a
belt as it moves through the dryer.
Our
dryers can be provided to use a number of different fuels for the
heaters/burners. Burners can be provided to fire on natural gas,
oil or a combination of the two fuels and in some applications the
air is heated with electrical heating elements.
Infra-red
heaters are also suitable for certain applications. The unit shown
here under construction in our factory was to dry both sides of
a product running at 30 metres per minute. To minimise the factory
floor space the dryer was constructed as a vertical tower.
